Easy Cacao Energy Bites Recipe

  • Food processor


  • 1 cup medjool dates stoned
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 4 tbsp hemp seeds shelled
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 4 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground ginger optional


  • Add walnuts and almonds to the food processor and blitz until fine texture.
  • Add cacao powder, hemp seeds, salt and ground ginger and pulse until combined.
  • Add stoned dates, melted coconut oil and maple syrup blitz until combined into a dough texture.
  • Form into balls about the size of a rounded tablespoon
  • Roll in extra hemp seeds or desiccated coconut and refrigerate for about 30 minutes until firm.
  • Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for 1 month.
