PCOS Weight Gain and Fertility
Hormones & PCOS Nutritionist in Manchester & Online
PCOS-related weight gain isn’t just about “eating too much” or “not trying hard enough”.
Insulin resistance, inflammation, adrenal stress, and disrupted hormones can all play a role in stubborn weight gain – especially around the belly.
These same imbalances can also affect ovulation, making it harder to conceive.
Many women are told to “just lose weight” to help with fertility – but aren’t given the tools or support to make that happen in a sustainable, healthy way.
That’s where I come in.

Why Nutrition and Lifestyle Matter for PCOS Fertility
Research shows that nutrition and lifestyle changes can significantly improve hormonal balance, restore ovulation, and support fertility in women with PCOS, even without weight loss.

But when weight loss is part of your goal, doing it in a way that supports your hormones (not disrupts them further) is key.

Crash diets, over-exercising, or under-eating can make things worse by putting more stress on your body.

That’s why we focus on:
-
Fueling your body with the right balance of protein, fibre, and healthy fats
-
Managing stress and supporting adrenal function
-
Promoting gut health, which plays a key role in hormone regulation
-
Building sustainable habits that last beyond your programme

Whether you’re trying to conceive now or preparing your body for pregnancy in the future, this work lays the foundation for better hormonal health, and better outcomes.
